Some people like my photography because they think maybe unwittingly that it's a study in Japanesque aesthetics. There are some things that are Japanesque, like Inuit carvings, Monet paintings, Polynesian woodwork, etc. I know this way intuitively. In Tagalog, "Baka talagang may lahing Hapon ako"—Maybe I really do have Japanese blood.
