20140826 Delany's Triton

Samuel R. Delany's Triton is a favourite vintage sci-fi book of mine. Therein, I learnt of liberal sexuality and notions of realistic portrayals of colonies on other worlds, moons. (Triton is a moon of Neptune.)

Some have mentioned that crewed space travel is really dangerous. Exploration is very gradual. A moonbase might not be established for many decades yet. The industry goes at a turtle's pace and money greatly plays a role. Mars and Venus are much farther than the Moon.

On my way to Pizza Hut today, I overheard an old man whisper beyond a wooden fence, "You no longer believe in humanity." It is true that in recent years, I have experienced much meanness from humans from different angles. It renders my thinking of humans more negative. I think now that it would not really matter in which land I am because people would probably behave similarly in the current circumstances wherein I am a telepathic broadcaster. Well, I just hope the best for the humans as I no longer feel part of the species.

I do not believe in Anthropocentrism, the focusing on humans. In Object-Oriented Ontology, human relations are not deemed higher than relations between objects.

I hope the best for the humans. However, they are still barbaric. Like dandelion seeds, the humans must fly elsewhere before something mows the dandelion down. Elsewhere, they may embrace goodliness.
